Why is there an Air & Water Show in Milwaukee?
There are substantial benefits that the Milwaukee Air & Water Show provides to the community of Greater Milwaukee, the hospitality industry, and downtown Milwaukee businesses. The Air & Water Show is now Milwaukee's largest free event for the general public, and the most recognized family-oriented event. It is a major destination event that brings both out of state and interstate tourism to the City of Milwaukee. The Air & Water Show also supports countywide efforts to promote the Lakefront as well as the new and improved Bradford Beach, and provides a significant economic
impact to the local economy.

The Milwaukee Air & Water offers corporate outreach opportunities, as well as an unmatched platform for Wisconsin-based businesses to offer corporate hospitality and entertainment, as well as company outings. The event also supports community service opportunities, by offering event space for non-profit fundraising organizations. During 2011, the event also completed its first volunteer partnership with Community Projects for Seniors, a longstanding, local non-profit organization serving senior citizens in the community. What is the cost to attend the Air Show?
The Air Show is a free event for the general public.
Is there reserved seating?
YES, we now offer four levels of reserved seating and parking at the events center-point, offering prime viewing of the air and water show. Tickets and passes may be purchased on the home page of this website.
Are there any discounts for seating, such as senior and military discounts?
At this time, there are no discounts for reserved seating.
Is there an official Air Show hotel partner?
Yes. Marcus Hotels and Resorts is the official hotel partner of the air and water show. Great hotel packages can be reserved by visiting www.airshowmke.com.
Where can I park?
There are many parking lots available at the lakefront. The BEST parking locations are along Lincoln Memorial Drive, between Veteran's Park, and north to Bradford Beach.

Milwaukee County Parks parking lots will be open early to the general public for parking, so please arrive early!
Is the Air Show handicap accessible?
Yes. Handicapped parking will be available along Lincoln Memorial Drive, and at Veteran's Park.
Where do we go for the best place to watch the Air Show?
The Air Show grounds are located along Lincoln Memorial Drive between Veteran's Park and Bradford Beach. To experience the BEST viewing, walk NORTH from Veteran's Park.
What are the times of the Air Show?
The Air Show begins daily at 11 a.m., will end at approximately 4:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The Water Show is scheduled daily, beginning at approx. 10 a.m.
Do you have a schedule that shows exactly what time each air show act will perform?
No. The program is the same both days (Saturday & Sunday), we do not have a schedule that shows exactly when each air show act performs. The air show schedule is primarily determined by the air show director and the pilots during the day of the event, taking weather into consideration. You can count on the headliners (such as the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels) performing last, and usually at the top of the hour.
Do you have a schedule of what time each performer will perform?
No. The program is the same both days (Saturday & Sunday), we do not have a schedule of who will be performing at what time, and this is decided by the pilots the day of the event. You can count on the headliners performing last.
What should I bring with me to the Air Show?
Suggested items include sunscreen protection, hats, cameras, small collapsible chairs, or beach towels. All carry-in items and persons are subject to search.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes. All pets MUST be kept on a leash.
What items are prohibited from being brought onto the Air Show festival grounds?

  • No Fireworks or Explosives
  • No Illegal Substances & Weapons
  • No Glass
Failure to comply with the above may result in entry being denied. All containers will be subject to search.
Are cameras allowed?
Cameras are allowed. Please be aware that camera bags are subject to search.
When do boat restrictions start on the lake?
Starting at 8am. Follow the lead of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Police Marine Units with regard to the air show safety zone.
Is there food and beverages available at the Air Show?
Yes, there will be many vendors with a wide array of food and beverage options at the event, located along Lincoln Memorial Drive.
Where can I purchase Official Merchandise of Milwaukee Air & Water Show?
Official Air Show merchandise and other items will be available on the Air Show grounds at several locations along Lincoln Memorial Drive.
Will I need money for anything else?
You'll want to bring some cash for food, beverages and souvenirs. The Milwaukee Air & Water Show has an array of fantastic food vendors, with an excellent view of the Air Show.
Is there a kid's area at the Air Show?
Yes. There will be a special "Kid's Zone" located along Lincoln Memorial Drive that will offer Inflatable rides, bounce houses, and other kids games.
What else is happening at the Air Show?
There will be many exhibits, sponsor displays, military recruiting areas, simulator rides, real jet cockpits, and other special attractions at the Air Show.
What happens if it rains, or if the weather is cloudy and / or misty with low ceilings?
The Air Show goes on rain or shine, however, the operation of the air show is always subject to the following conditions: precipitation, severe weather, minimum ceilings or other metrological conditions that affect the safety of flight.
Can I watch the Air Show from my boat?
Since the Milwaukee Air & Water Show is flown over Lake Michigan, it is great to watch from a boat. Please keep your boat behind the safety area marked by the U. S. Coast Guard to safely enjoy the show.
Where can I find more information about hotels and things to do in Milwaukee?
The Air Show does not have any static displays of aircraft at the lakefront. The Milwaukee Air & Water Show is unique in that it is performed over Lake Michigan and Bradford Beach rather than at the airport.
