Since its inception, the Milwaukee Air and Water Show has consistently proven to be a significant economic engine for downtown Milwaukee businesses and the hospitality industry, helping to create a more positive profile of the City and County of Milwaukee, as well as attracting thousands of people to the downtown district, who wouldn't normally visit the area.
The annual economic impact of the Air & Water Show from local and out-of-state visitors, Air Show performers, vendors and exhibitors, all of whom spent dollars in the Milwaukee community, was conservatively estimated by the Milwaukee Visitors Bureau to be approx. $8 million dollars each year.
Additionally, the Air and Water Show will once again partner with Community Projects For Seniors, the Civial Air Patrol in 2012, providing fundraising additional opportunities for the non-profit sector.
