Since its inception, the Milwaukee Air and Water Show has consistently proven to be a significant economic engine for downtown Milwaukee businesses and the hospitality industry, raising the positive profile of the City and County of Milwaukee, and attracting thousands of people to the downtown district, who wouldn't normally visit the area.
In 2009, the economic impact of local and out-of-state visitors, Air Show performers, vendors and exhibitors, all of whom spent dollars in the community, was conservatively estimated by the Milwaukee Visitors Bureau to be approx. $7.2 million dollars.
Additionally, the Air Show will partner with the Ronald McDonald House in 2010 to provide a fundraising opportunity during the event.
